It’s no secret that competing against each other on Dancing With the Stars created some tension between Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt—but on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season four, fans actually get to see what went down behind the scenes. On the latest season, the two ended up having a blowout fight after Jen failed to congratulate Whitney on landing the lead role in Chicago on Broadway…and it didn’t help that Jen took to TikTok Live following her DWTS elimination to say she wouldn’t be voting for her “former MomTok” competitor going forward.
Soon after, Jen told E! News there was “no relationship” between herself and Whitney following the DWTS drama…but because filming for SLOMW season four wrapped in fall 2025, it’s unclear whether Jen and Whitney are still feuding in 2026 (which is where I come in).
During an exclusive interview with Cosmo ahead of the season four premiere, I asked Whitney where she and Jen stand now, and she said their relationship is “definitely cordial,” adding, “We’ve had conversations since then. I’m moving on from whatever was said, and I hope she can, too.”
If you’re wondering how Jen and Whitney went from living together in L.A. to screaming at each other during a SLOMW photoshoot, the answer is…complicated. Per Whitney, their big fight stemmed from more than just Jen failing to congratulate her on the Chicago news.
“It was more that I felt like I was putting so much effort into this relationship and it wasn’t being reciprocated,” Whitney explained. “And so that was just the tip of the iceberg, where I just lost it.”
She continued, “At the end of the day, we just have to realize relationships go both ways. So if you’re putting in an effort and you’re not receiving that [effort back]…then there probably shouldn’t be a relationship there.”
I also asked about the accusation Jen made of Whitney back in season two, when she said Whitney is “only here for herself and her own opportunities.” Does Whitney feel like MomTok is a community or an opportunity? According to her: It’s both.
“I can promise you that each and every single member in this cast and MomTok wouldn’t be doing this [show] and not hope to get something more,” said Whitney.
Fair enough!
